A prayer for peace inspired by Isaiah’s prophecy of Jesus’ birth in Isaiah 9:6-7

Dear Jesus, who is like You? Your name is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace! We receive the increase of your government and peace upon the nations of the earth in Jesus Name.  O Lord, establish your kingdom with judgment and justice that all people may be filled with joy and peace in believing and abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jehovah Shalom, breathe upon your creation and tear down walls of conflict, strife, terror and division. Let your righteousness flow like a river, washing away every evil which causes neighbors and friends to turn on each other. You are the embodiment of peace, love, gentleness, meekness and humility; manifest this fruit in your people who are formed in your image and brought to life by your breath.

By faith we prophesy unto the nations that every dry bone of conflict receives the breath of God and joins together in unity to form a strong and mighty army for the glory of our King. We decree an end to hatred and anger and usher in a season of agreement, reconciliation and the love of God for Jesus has overcome all the troubles of the world.

Thank you, Lord for answered prayers, for we ask according to your will.
