Lord, Heal Our Land! Part 3
A prayer for deliverance and healing inspired by Hezekiah’s prayer and God’s response in 2 Kings 19:14-34
Almighty God, the One who sits enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are Lord over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made heaven and earth, and everything within. Turn to us and hear, O Lord; look and see how COVID-19 ravages your people who are made in your image. This disease is a plague upon the nations of the earth. It undermines our way of life and denies us the joy of communion and fellowship. See how it seeks to rob us of livelihood and destroy all that we know and cherish. Now, Lord our God, deliver us from this virus so that all the people of earth may know that you alone are God.
By faith, we declare that the Lord hears our prayers for healing and deliverance from COVID-19. This virus is a weapon wielded by the enemy of our souls; a tool by which God’s beloved are assaulted, despised and mocked. Yet its origins are not hidden from our Father. The Lord knows how it begun, and He has declared its end. Despite the insolent raging of the corona virus, Jehovah Rapha has put a hook in its nose and a bit in its mouth. He will make it return by the very way it came. The Lord will defend His creation and save us for His Name’s sake.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
