Lord, Heal Our Land! Part 5

A prayer for healing, restoration and reconciliation inspired by Jesus’ prayer for His followers in John 17

Almighty Father, you are the God of heaven, earth, the skies above and the seas below. We your people pray that you be glorified in all of creation. You, the only true God have been glorified on the earth by your son, Jesus Christ. El Shaddai, manifest your glory for all peoples and nations to see that all may know You and believe You.

We pray for your church throughout the nations that though many parts, we may be unified as one body of Christ. Adonai, keep the church through your name so that we may be one in you and together reflect the perfect unity and agreement of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May your joy be fulfilled in us no matter the opposition of the world. Keep us from the evil one and sanctify us by your truth.

Righteous Father, tear down every disagreement and stronghold dividing Your church that we may be united in mind and thought. By this unity, may the world see Your beauty and believe in You. Reflect Your glory in the church and cause Your love to flow freely in our midst, overflowing to the world around. By the power of Your great love, bring deliverance, healing and salvation to all people and nations.

By faith we declare that your Kingdom O God will come on the earth and Your will be done. Jehovah Shalom, thank you for your peace; El Roi, thank you for seeing the assaults of plague, division, strife, conflict and hatred on your people and raising up a standard. Jehovah Rohi, thank you for shepherding us to healing, reconciliation and unity. Though this may seem impossible, we know that with you ALL things are possible, for you are the Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness; yes, O God, that is who You are.
