Lord, Heal Our Land Part 7

A battle cry for peace inspired by Psalm 46.

Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth.  You are our refuge and strength, ever present to help in times of trouble. Because You are with us, we will not give in to fear. Though the enemy roars and rages, we receive Your peace. For we know that our battle is not against enemies of flesh and blood, but against evil spirits in the unseen world. Even so, we shout in victory, for you have equipped us with weapons that are out of this world. In your Name, we demolish strongholds erected by the evil one and cast down every falsehood which sets itself up against Your truth. In Your Name, we take captive every word and thought concerning our land and make them obedient to the will of Jesus Christ.

We lift You high in this land and therefore we will not fall. Thank You, Lord for speedy help which shines Your light in the darkness. Though the nation may be in uproar, it bows at the sound of your voice. We decree that the Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. We praise You El Shaddai for making the noise of war cease to the ends of the earth and laying the enemy’s camp desolate. We magnify You for shattering the evil one’s weapons. We will be still and know that You are God. You will be exalted in the nation; You will be exalted in all the earth!

Thank you, Lord Almighty, our fortress who stands with us forever.

We pray in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT)

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NIV)
