Lord, I want to know You

As You would have me to

Father, help me trust You

As You would have me do

To know that You are there

Though yea or nay I feel You near

Believing Your word is right

Walking by faith, and not by sight

To be a friend that stays

Beyond the wanting phase

Into the offering of praise

Pouring out my love

To You my God, above

To take on Your servant’s heart

When words and deeds are harsh

A reflection of You I would be

So clear for the world to see

Make me holy, make me true

A vessel of honor

Fit for Your use.
